Sports Houses
In order to increase the overall physical participation and competition of all pupils at Norwood, we decided to introduce intra-school sports houses with all children allocated to one of 4 houses. At the end of each half term following the conclusion of their Games unit - each class and year group would split into their houses to play a tournament in whichever sport they had been developing their skills in.
Nominations from parents and children for names of the 4 houses were sought and the ones that matched the selection criteria were then put to a whole school vote.
The final selections were:
- Brownlee - after Alistair Brownlee
- Cockcroft - after Hannah Cockcroft
- Fleetwood - after Tommy Fleetwood
- Johnson-Thompson - after Katarina Johnson-Thompson
