Football

There are three school football teams at Norwood - the 'A' team managed by Mr. Dempster,  the 'B' team managed by Mr. Walsh and the Girls team managed by Mr. Dempster and Mrs. Stewart. All teams play competitive matches against other primary schools in Southport.

Throughout the year, children in all year groups will have the opportunity to have football coaching from professional coaches and some year groups will also be able to participate in local tournaments for their age group organised by  the North Sefton School Games Organiser based at Stanley High School.

In 2019-20, the A team have won the Southport round of the ESFA tournament, which meant they were invited to compete in the Merseyside ESFA tournament. The girls team were also invited to compete in the Merseyside ESFA tournament following a tremendous perfromance in the Southport event.
