Year 6 Go Out and About Exploring for their Rivers Topic
Class: Year 6 Year: 2016-17
On Tuesday 11th October 2016, Year 6 went to 7 Acres in Bolton as part of our rivers topic.
First, everyone came to school at 8.15am (very early)! Then, at 8.35am we boarded the coach and set off. After an hour and a half, we reached our destination. After that, both classes split up and travelled off to different activities (river sampling and river tour/talk). Our kind instructors were Adam and Pete.
Once we had finished our activities, we ate lunch. It was like feeding time at the zoo! In the afternoon, we swapped activities again. Thankfully, only a few children ended up with soggy socks! After an hour, we headed back on the coach and fell asleep after an exciting day of adventuring.
Finally, at 4.10pm we arrived back at school and went home. Overall it was a great day and a terrific start to our rivers topic!
