Football

At Norwood we have a number of football teams, which take part in competitions against other schools in Southport. The 'A' team, specially selected children from Year 5 and 6, is coached by Mr. Dempster on Wednesdays and play in the Premier League, the Duddy Shield and the Laurie Parr Trophy. The 'B' team consists of any children from Year 5 and 6, who have attended football club and is coached by Mr. Dumbell on Mondays. They paly in the 'B' team league and the Duddy Shield and Greenall Cup. Football matches for these teams take place after school any day of the week.

Girls have their own football practice and take part in a Girls Football tournament. There are football clubs, during the year, for all year groups from Year 1 to Year 4 and the school competes in local tournaments organised by Stanley High and Everton Football Club.
