   M.A.D. Making a Difference

Norwood Primary’s PTA is run for the benefit of the children of Norwood Primary. The PTA is a partnership between all the parents and staff of the school and aims to enrich the lives of all children who attend the school.

The PTA raises funds to enhance the resources already provided by the school and to provide for extra opportunities that wouldn’t ordinarily form part of school life. This creates special memories for our children and makes school life an exciting and wonderful time for them.

The PTA partners with the school to reach common goals. We host various events throughout the year to raise funds. These include school discos, the annual Summer Fair and the Christmas Fair, to name but a few. There is lots of fun to be had by the whole family. Information about all events are posted on the PTA notice boards on the school grounds, notices are placed in the children’s book bags and information can be found on the PTA page of the school website.

It is important to be aware that ongoing fundraising is required to continually be able to enhance the resources of the school and we need to understand that the school’s needs vary in urgency and the PTA needs to be prepared for this.

As parents, we are all members of the PTA which is run in an open and welcoming manner. Without parents the PTA could not exist and therefore our children would not benefit from these additional resources and opportunities.

PTA meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 3:30 p.m. and your children are welcome to be with you. The meetings are informal and open. Please check the PTA notice boards on the school grounds for meeting dates and where they will be held.

The PTA Notice Boards and Webpages all have information about what upcoming events & news about past events and current fundraising projects.  Please check these regularly.

The PTA welcomes suggestions and questions and can be contacted via the school office on (01704) 211960 or by email on pta@norwoodmail.co.uk
