Norwood's First No Pen Day!

Date: 25th Apr 2017 @ 2:20pm

Tower Trouble
Year 3 were challenged with building a tower from newspaper, straw and masking tape!  They had an hour to complete the task, by using their team work and co-operation skills the task was a great success, with several standing up right all without any support!

Year 4 had a brilliant day!
Not only did we make our own helicopters as a result of the Air Ambulance landing on our field, we also used our measuring skills to bake delicious Parkin and recorded our Ambleside Podcasts.

Year 5 had fun too!
Year 5 rose to the challenge of no pen day as the children practiced their spellings on each other’s backs and fully enjoyed the activity.

As a class we used no pen day to discuss E-safety and how to stay safe online. We then used the computers to write about what makes us brilliant and what areas of ourselves we would like to improve on.

I am great because I am good at being friendly. I would like to improve my handwriting. By Ben Paisely

I am great because I help around the house. I want to improve my trumpet playing skills. By Amy Farquharson

The children were fantastic listeners, respecting their peer’s ideas and responding to them in a sensible and mature way.
